On 18 October 2019, IFEVS presented the work of “Designing and Manufacturing Affordable Urban Electric Vehicles” on the conference IECON’ 2019 (IEEE 45^th Annual Conference of the Industrial Electronics Society) for the AVANGARD EU project. IFEVS discussed about the safety manners of an electric vehicle in an affordable way through low investments and high flexibility of the production platform. Also, IFEVS reports the current challenges on the design phase with the complexity of the geometries and the assemblies of all the appropriate components in the body in white and on the manufacturing phase which requires novel technologies from the Industry 4.0 concept regarding the safety and security issues such as blockchain.
